W.F. West graduate, Ed Rothlin, returns to Chehalis in 2010 as our Superintendent of Schools. He comes to us with experience as a father, teacher, coach, building administrator and Superintendent of Schools. Mr. Rothlin started his college education at Centralia Community College with an A.A. degree in Business Administration. From there, he earned his Bachelor's degree from Central Washington University in Business Education. Mr. Rothlin began his teaching career at Adna High School as a Business Teacher. He also has experience as a Business Teacher at Centralia High School. Mr. Rothlin continued on with his education at the University of Puget Sound where he earned his Masters of Education in Education Administration. Prior to his years as Principal at Adna Middle/High School, he served a year as an Assistant Principal at Centralia Middle School. Mr. Rothlin continued his education at Seattle Pacific University where he earned his Superintendent’s Credentials. In 2001, Mr. Rothlin moved to Superintendent of Schools for the Adna School District. Ed enjoys spending time with his family and long walks on the golf course.

Mary Lou Bissett came to the Chehalis School District in 1990, where she taught 1st Grade at Cascade Elementary School and Mathematics at Chehalis Middle School. She completed her administrative certification training at Pacific Lutheran University in 1996 and went to River Ridge High School in North Thurston Public Schools. Mrs. Bissett returned to the Chehalis School District in 2003 in the role of Assistant Principal at Chehalis Middle School. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and working on anything related to sewing.

Heather C. Pinkerton came to Chehalis School District in July 2010. She has been a public servant since 1998. She has worked in business offices for the Lewis County Auditor and the Center for Continuous Learning at South Puget Sound Community College. Immediately prior to Chehalis School District, she worked as an Assistant Audit Manager for the Washington State Auditor's Office. As Director of Business and Operations she is responsible for the business functions of the District and works closely with the food service, transportation and maintenance functions of the District. Heather is married, has a young daughter and enjoys traveling with her family. She also enjoys watching Cougar football.

Debby Gregory has been a public servant for 30 years. After spending six years with a municipality, she began her work in public schools in the summer of 1987. Mrs. Gregory and her family moved to Washington State in 1996 where she began her career with the Chehalis School District. She was appointed to the position of Human Resources Officer in the fall of 2005. Mrs. Gregory is proud to say that her son is a W.F. West Bearcat graduate (Class of 2009), and her daughter is a W.F. West Bearcat (Class of 2013).

Chris Simpson came to the Chehalis School District in July of 2006 from the Kent School District where he was an educational assistant and elementary teacher in both general and physical education. He graduated from Western Washington University in 1996 with a B.A. degree in both Psychology and Sociology. After working for Nordstrom and serving as an Academic Advisor at City University, he returned to school, earning both his Master in Teaching degree and Principal Certification from City University. He enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters as they explore Lewis County.

Kimberly spent 7 years in the field of early childhood education as a classroom teacher and family educator before returning to college in pursuit of her teaching degree. After obtaining her bachelor's degree and elementary teaching certificate from Central Washington University in 2000, Kimberly taught in the Winlock School District as an intermediate and looping teacher in grades 4, 5, and 6. She completed her principal certification training with City University in the spring of 2005 and joined the R.E. Bennett staff the following summer. Kimberly's hobbies and outside interests include portrait photography, hiking, beachcombing, and reading.

Brett Ellingson came to the Chehalis School District in June of 1993. He taught Spanish and coached soccer and basketball at W.F. West High School. Brett graduated from Washington State University in 1990. While at WSU, Brett majored in Foreign Language and received a minor in Physical Education. Brett earned his M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from City University in 1995, and his Principal Certification from Seattle Pacific University in 2004. Brett enjoys spending time with his family and friends, hiking, camping, fishing, playing sports and reading.

Jim began his teaching career at Gaiser Jr. High, Vancouver, WA. where he taught Biology and Chemistry, and coached Track and Football. After completing his M.Ed he came to the Chehalis School District in the fall of 1982 to fill the position of Assistant Principal at Chehalis Middle School. One of the highlights during this time was the planning and building of the new middle school. In 1994 he was appointed to the position of CMS Principal. Jim enjoys spending time with his family, working in the yard, and fishing.

After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Communication from the University of Washington, Kyle began working on his teaching credentials through Western Governors University. Kyle came to the Chehalis School District in September of 2006 where he began his career at Chehalis Middle School as a seventh grade science teacher while coaching both basketball and soccer. While teaching, Kyle pursued a Masters degree in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University. In 2009, Kyle completed an administrative internship, earned his Principal Certification, and became Dean of Students at Chehalis Middle School. In 2010, Kyle was appointed to the position of Assistant Principal at CMS. Kyle is the proud father of three children and loves to spend time traveling, playing sports, and reading with his wife and family.

As a W.F. West graduate, Bob Walters is proud to be a bearcat. He began his teaching career in Kodiak, Alaska in 1987. from there he went to Snohomish High School where he taught Woodshop, Construction, Physical Education, coached wrestling and served as the ASB advisor. Mr. Walters came back to W.F. West High School in 2000 where he served as Assistant Principal for 5 years. Bob is the very proud dad to 3 boys who are all attending Chehalis Schools and looking forward to being bearcats like their dad.

Prior to coming to Chehalis School District, Jeff Johnson spent seventeen years in the Tenino School District. During his tenure in Tenino Jeff served in many different roles including Head Baseball Coach, Head Boys Basketball Coach, Head Girls Basketball Coach, Assistant Football Coach, Assistant Track coach and Assistant Principal at Tenino High School. Jeff spent his most recent seven years in Tenino as the High School Principal. Jeff enjoys camping, clamming, hunting, fishing and Cougar athletics.

Scott Chamberlain spent his first 11 years in education at Tenino High School, where he is also a 1988 graduate. At Tenino High School he taught mathematics and was the District Athletic Director for his last 5 years. Scott was the Head Baseball Coach for 11 years and also coached football as an assistant, 4 years as the head coach. He was hired in July of 2005 as the Director of Athletics and Activities at W.F. West High School.
Mr. Chamberlain is a graduate of Central Washington University where he also played on the Wildcat Football and Baseball Teams.
